My first Doberman picked me in the year of 1981. A friend talked me into getting a Doberman as I had never thought of owning one. After all I did not want to own such a mean dog. I owe a lot to that friend as I would have missed the happiness and companionship that this wonderful breed has brought me all these years. Needless to say I have had Dobermans ever since and could not be without them. They are loyal, affectionate and always by your side. My Champion male "Toby" will always be very special to me. I consider him a once in a lifetime dog that fate brought us together. I answered an ad when he was four months old and many people before I got there didn't want him. When we saw each other and our eyes met we instantly bonded. Toby has been there for me. He saved my life when I couldn't breathe, also chased two men in a park who tried to steal my purse. He passed his WAE the first time and got his AKC championship very quickly with limited showing. He has brains as well as beauty and passes these qualities to his kids. Health testing is done on all my Dobermans.
In 1992 I decided that I wanted a toy breed that I can show myself. After pondering over a breed or two I decided it was the Chinese Crested. I had Arabian horses and the look of the hairless Crested captured my eye. A female hairless was hard to come by back then and I consider myself lucky that Deirdre Petrie sold me my foundation bitch "Makara's Pony in Adel of Bimini". Adel is going on 14 and is still in good health. These little dogs are amazing. They are a small dog with a big dog's heart and soul. They are extremely intelligent. She produced champions and her children produced champions and the line is still going producing good quality show and pet puppies along with my foundation male from Gertrude Corbett "Tebroc's PS I Luv You". I have been co-owning with my very good friends, Nina and Serg of Nina's Chinese Cresteds, as she with me. I look forward to this adventure with high expectations to produce top show dogs.
I was introduced to the Cornish Rex by another friend in 1996. After seeing these unique wavy coated cats it was a MUST to own one. They have a lot of dog like qualities than cat like. They always want to be near you, know their name and come when they are called. They love the dogs and the dogs love them. They are the greyhounds in the cat world. Very thin and sleek and fast. A joy to own. They are hypo-allergenic just like the Chinese Cresteds.
All these breeds are like potato chips. You can't just have one. I breed for quality and not quantity. We are located in Gilbert, Arizona which is in the Phoenix metro area. Inquiries are welcome.
